In this lecture, Dr. William Schwab, founding chief of Penn Medicine's Level 1 Trauma Center, traces the last 50+ years of gun deaths, trauma centers, research and policy to give insight into the current status of gun violence in the U.S. Learning objectives include to compare and contrast lessons learned from the history of gun violence, find insights to move toward more solutions for gun deaths, and analyze the ways gun violence can be lessened.
