The Weight of the World: Bariatric Patient Assessment and Resuscitation-Tim Hillier

Let’s face it: Our patients are not getting any smaller. Larger patients bring with them challenges to assessment and management as well as their own unique medical conditions. This session uses an interesting case study to review presentations, techniques, and treatments.

Learning Objectives:

1. Review health issues associated with obesity.

2. Describe assessment challenges related to bariatric patients.

3. Discuss logistical challenges associated with bariatric transport.
